Which field is more convenient after completing my 12th from commerce stream for civil services exams?

Hi Siddesh, You must be glad to know that nowadays universities like UPES have come up with special programs providing your regular BA program with Civil Services coaching. This seems to be a very good initiative for those who wants to take admisison in BA as well as are preparing for Civil Services. UPES has taken a lead by introducing such graduate program that is designed to provide an interdisciplinary environment, specializing in public policy field as well as public management incorporting it with IAS coaching. This program provides knowledge of economics, public finance, research methods, public policy, leadership, strategy. The program equips the students with knowledge and skills covering broad range disciplines and topic of public sector. More likely students pursuing BA (Public Policy & Administration) will be taking Public Administration as their specialization areas in the IAS Examination. Public Administration is presently being offered as Paper I and Paper II in IAS Competitive Examination. It is being suggested that the Public Administration (Paper I and II) is split into core courses and be embedded in the B.A. Public Policy & Administration Program in IInd and IIIrd Year. They would be giving additional coaching too to strengthen the Academic Input. So, overall its a good program. You should pursue it it you want to excel in your Civil Services examination.

Hi Siddesh, UPSC examination is conducted every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited. To be eligible : - You need to pass graduation in ANY field from any recognized university. - You are eligible if you are in the final year of graduation. - Your age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively. - You must be an Indian citizen.
