Some examples could be: Turkish Airlines (Turkish), KLM (Dutch) or Lufthansa (German). A basic rule and general selection criteria is to have an English . Language knowledge above medium level, both written and spoken. That's why the interviews and all the instructions are given to the candidates in English.

English is for sure the most important language for a flight attendant. Apart from English languages like Chinese and Arabic are gaining popularity (In airlines like emirates, Qatar etc. ).

Onboard an international aircraft, all communication must be in English because that is the language of aviation and potentially stops any communication issues, especially when you often have crew from many nationalities.

Many of the current job openings for flight attendants require that you are fluent in at least one other language besides English. French, Arabic and Spanish will be a plus, but it depends on which airline company you are engaged with and the places you frequently visit.

All you need is fluency in English. Any other foreign language is not mandatory for this profession. However, it will be an additional positive point in your profile.
