Civil engineering and architecture are different fields that cannot be compared as such. Architecture is more of creativity and civil is the application part of that creativity, so i think which one is better depends on your like and caliber and should be choosen accordingly. Though in terms of scope in government sector i would prefer Civil engineering over architecture in the current scenario.

Dear AYUSH Singh, Civil Engineering: As discussed above, civil engineers have a wider scope of work and a broader field of operations compared to architects. The main point is your interest if you are interested in Architecture then you can do this one also. My friend also did B.Tech in Civil at LPU and got placed in an MNC. The following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: - 1. Most of the faculty staff are from reputed organizations with their the highest degree from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs, etc. Apart from that, faculty have got previous industrial experience also. 2. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on the practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. This is beneficial to enhance your presentation skills. 3. There is an internship programme which could be an opportunity for getting work experience and increase your chance to get employment after you pass out. But, of course, your academic record should be good to get this placement option. 4. Industrial visits are organized to nearby construction sites from time to time. There, you can SEE actual construction work going on. Be prepared to have dust on your shoes (believe me, it will be worth a lot). You have to ask questions yourself and trigger interest in the activities around you. 5. You will get some courses from soft skills, English language, mental and analytical aptitude side. This sounds dull to you as of now. But you will feel its importance when you face an interview panel in a company during your placement drives. 6.
