    Hi,
Both the fields are completely different from each other. Archaeology is a study of human history, pre-history through excavation of historical sites and analysis of artifacts and remains whereas economics is concerned with production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. Economics is then further divided into two categories microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomics is concerned with an individual business and macroeconomics is concerned with the economy as a whole.
