7 years agoCSE branch is great in terms of placement in private sector with high packages whereas CE branch offers placement in government sector with decent packages and secured jobs. CE is an evergreen core branch with brilliant scope in government sector .CIvil HasTremendous scope in so many field. Be it construction, transport, geotechnical ,fluid mechanics, repair and maintenance, seismic retrofitting of structures,testing of materials, So basically endless opportunities than CSE.If we go with bifur cation of top engineering courses out of the total number of seats only 923 seats are available in IITs and ISM Dhanbad. Hands down, CSE has a better scope.
Seeing the current scenario, the tech industry is booming and there is a large demand for CS/IT engineers allover India and abroad too. There are many specializations and job profiles available.
Other than that, CSE has the highest percentage of placements in almost all the colleges.
Even the packages offered are the highest in CSE as compared to other branches.
On the other hand, the condition of civil engineers is not so good.
The core jobs are very less in numbers. The Civil department has much lower placements as compared to other branches in almost all colleges. Many students from civil opt for IT ro...more -
This is a comparing between Gold and Coal according to general people. Generally people are thinking that in CSE you get an A.C. Room for job and high paid salary and in Civil you have to be in high sunlight, dust and less paid. Yes they are right that CSE are paid higher then civil and even the cutoff marks for admission is high for CSE and minimum for civil.
