These are two completely contrasting fields and to excel in either of them, one needs to have passion and dedication to work in that direction. That being said, from a neutral point of view, if one is interested in both fields equally, the scope can greatly vary depending on where the person is working and what kind of work they are doing. Well, both labor laws and competition laws are related and contrasting. While the labor laws have been made strict and also, the 2002 act made competition law more vibrant and Establishment of Competition commission made a forum thus to deal with issues arising there on.
Well, you might practice labor law and competition law simultaneously to fetch better opportunities. However, preferences are individual when it comes to law but yeah, a relative practice is quite advisable.
