Which has a better scope and why: Politics or History ?

I would like to suggest you to opt for political science over history. Although history is also not a bad option but the way career in political science is increasing, it made me say this. If you have studied political science as a subject in your graduation or post graduation level, you have plenty of options available besides being a politician. In the government sector, a wide range of government occupations, from urban planning to legislature to intelligence bodies, are available for those with a major in political science. It is a common belief that political science graduates are all just made for politics and govt. agencies, but that's not true. In India, with this degree, you can make your career in journalism (You can prepare political reports, articles, blogs and interviews for print and online publications, as well as television and radio broadcasts), or can do research (you can write UGC-NET exam. After clearing it, you will be eligible to work as lecturer and pursue Ph.D side by side). Hence, by opting for political science, you can have almost any type of job provided that you must have to be dedicated to your studies and choose your college wisely. Hope this helps. Best of luck.
