MNIT, Allahabad is better for civil engineering because MNIT provides good quality of civil faculty members and good course curriculum.

Civil at MNIT is best for sure. By the way, it depends on your goals and interests. Either you wish to have a tag of IIT or having a degree from a good ranking institute or from an Institute which is prominent for the civil branch. Hi, IIT, Mandi is a new IIT with lack of infrastructure and proper labs. So, you should go for MNIT.

Well, both of these colleges are very good and respected by all. They both have great faculty, great students in the past and now also. Infrastructure and other facilities are also almost similar. IIT-Mandi is the best institute if you want to study for civil engineering. The college is known for its nice environment and well developed labs.
