Which institute is better for pursuing Bachelors in Information Technology: LPU or CU?

IT is one of the most sought after programme these days. India being global hub of software and back office industries, this field has immense job opportunities. Both CU and LPU are doing a good job within their abilities. You must know the parameters on which to compare. Some are mentioned as follows: Curricula : The course curricula of any tech degree must be very unique and dynamic. It must be developed with extensive consultations with industry. Tech trainings : The must students undergo many training like cutting edge technologies of SAP, Workday, waterfall other MOOCs, Advance Excel and many more. These skills come in handy for the students not only at the time of interviews and tests but also throughout their careers. Soft skills: There must be a dedicated effort by college/university in continuous improvement of personality, soft skills, professional ethics, interview skills, public speaking, presentation style development etc. In students. These are must for placements as well as performance in the jobs. Exposure : The students must be exposed to large number of guest lectures and talks by industry experts, large number of events in university to enhance their organizing and networking kills, large number of social work initiatives to develop the right orientation. And many more. Diversity of student and faculty:We must choose a campus which has diversity of teachers and students from all over the world. Studying and working with such diverse sets of people makes a person learn cross cultural sensibilities and most importantly team work, thus making the students global citizens. Entrepreneurship opportunities: The college/university must have innovation labs, business incubator, design thinking labs and SEED capital facility by management so that students can explore entrepreneurship as a career. Placements: The coveted outcome ! The campus must have solid track record of attracting good number of employers to recruit the talented students. The placements must not only be measured in terms of monetary rewards, but also in terms of diversity of positions, job descriptions, job locations offered and also the number of students placed. Well in my opinion, I will recommend Lovely Professional University. Hello! Being an Alumni of LPU, I would say LPU has it all for a perfect learning especially for engineering, be it any branch. I did my CSE from LPU and many of my friends were enrolled in B.Tech IT. I can not comment anything about CU. My friend studied in Lovely professional University and got placed in Amazon, So I heard many times about LPU from my friend and according to him: To enable the students LPU keeps pace with changing technological advances, the university has industrial tie-ups with various industries. To be honest, the word best is very subjective. It all depends from person to person. There are various factors that will go into making an institute the best for you. Academics is clearly a priority, but there are also other aspects such as facilities for research, affordability, placement opportunities and so on. All these have to be balanced to find the best place. I would say that Lovely Professional University is a great university which every students are looking for. Be it studies, hangout places, infrastructure or extracurricular activities, this university has it all. LPU makes leaders who are not only thorough professionals but also good human beings with values. This is just one of the many reasons why it is consistently ranked no.1.
