Which is a better branch of engineering among CSE and mechanical engineering?

This decade belongs to Electronics and Telecommunications. Electronics and Telecommunications will continue to impact all walks of life including business. Next wave of Industrial revolution is automation and Electronics will play a vital role in it. ECE engineers can be employed in all type of industries including IT. Computer Science is the facilitating technology for all business and personal activities. Indian IT industry is worlds largest outsourcing hub. Computer Science engineering is dominating the job market for last 15 years. Indian Computer industry has started showing early sign of decline due to outcry against outsourcing in western world. Therefore, Electronics &Telecommunication is best option with respect to career opportunities and scope. Computer Science will continue to good career option for some times in the field of Engineering. Mechanical is an ever green branch for last 50 years and will continue to remain same in next 50 years. Therefore my recommendations in order of precedence are ECE, CSE and then Mechanical engineering if student does not have any specific area of interest

Hello! You can't compare both the branch because both have their own field of work which are truly awesome. But if you are comparing both the branch in respect of jobs then I must say that you which have abundant of opportunities by having CSE degree in compare to mechanical, the starting amount of salary is much better then you get in mechanical. But if you have a good references then you can earn well in Mechanical would get placed at the post of J. E and would be easily promoted to Production Manager in 45yr. None of the branch is easy and have their own challenges so I must say that choose it by checking your interest because Interest really matter while doing engineering. Choose CSE if you love to do something with computers, software, programme, application but if you love machines then choose ME. Engineering is all about passion of doing something new and extraordinary. Now choosing a right college or university is another task, If you choose a right university, then only you can get complete success. Based on my personal experience, I would suggest you Lovely Professional University. LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure and modern facilities. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. The university provides scholarships and study/ education loan assistance to the students. Without doubt LPU is the best so, go ahead.

Singh ji don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. So I would suggest, better to study Computer Science engineering. If you want to sail through vast sea go with Marine engineering. If you have not decided what you want to do after B.Tech, sit for one or two days and decided what you want to do. If still confused, select any of the engineering mentioned in point # 1, 2 and 3 (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics). Best of luck.
