Which is a better branch of engineering in terms of placement, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering?

    Both are good.
    It depends on the college in which you are taking admission. In some colleges mechanical has better placement but in some electrical has better.

    With respect to placements, electrical engineering is better than mechanical engineering.
    With mechanical engineering, you may not get campus placement but opportunities in government exams like IES, GATE are much more than electrical.
    Mechanical engineering is evergreen branch. Although, both are core but if you want to assure job after B.Tech than go for electrical.
