Lovely professional University is the best engineering college in Punjab for B.Tech. Lately, number of admissions in B.Tech in CSE department have been increased rapidly and has become one of the popular courses among engineering aspirants. Mahesh, go for LPU. My cousin is studying there. The kind of guidance, both academic as well as professional, he is getting there is worth mentioning and world class. Other than his regular classes, he participates in many extra curricular activities which most of the time are related with his core subjects only thus giving him an opportunity to expand his academic horizon. Also, he is having some special classes wherein he is trained to deal with and crack placement papers. They call them PEP classes. Most of his seniors have been placed in companies like Adobe, Amazon, etc. The kind of atmosphere they provide students in the university certainly contributes to their overall development and brings best out of them. The best example of this is one of his batch mates is getting ready for his own TED talk show. Better would be to visit the campus yourself once and see around/ meet people around. Best of luck.

I have also done my MBA from LPU and one of my friend's younger brothers is studying over there in B.Tech CSE. There are some points I would like to share about why CSE is good from LPU. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Tie-ups: B.Tech in CSE has tie-ups with industries which helps students to explore themselves more in their field. My recommendation is LPU for CSE. One of my close friends' sister is there. The guidance is very good. Infrastructure and other professional guidance are very good also. Placement is very good and also faculty, lab and library is highly satisfactory. Go for it.

Chandigarh University is the only top private university that provides wonderful placement for computer Science engineering with the highest packages. You cannot imagine your salary package that much big but you should be ready to spend the money.
