I would vote for Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) as it is one of India's oldest and the finest educational institute, it is a pioneer in engineering education, research and innovation. Being accredited with an 'A+' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), TIET is also ranked 23rd amongst top engineering institutes and universities in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2021.

Thapar is definitely a good university. LPU has well-tailored course content to meet the global industrial needs, good faculty, and state-of-the-art facilities that have left many NITs far behind. The curriculum taught here is of international standard. One gets to learn from foreign and industry experts. There are provisions of international credits in some programs where a student gets an opportunity to go abroad to study. Highlights of B Tech courses, -

Thapar University on any day. Thapar has big brands. Placements are so good, faculty members are good, infrastructure is better than all of these. Brands like Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, NVIDIA, Samsung, Accenture, WIPRO, Infosys, Amazon, and Yahoo come here for the placement. I'll recommend Thapar University.

LPU is inferior to the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology in my view. The institutes staff and professors are a top-notch bunch with a lot of knowledge in their specialised disciplines. They have routinely placed students above 95% for the previous years.

For B.Tech, I'll say that the best option is the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET). Placements of Thapar are so good, faculty members are so supportive, Infrastructure is world-class, and you'll get competitive vibes every time. If we SEE the placements of the CSE department of Thapar, the average package of Thapar is 14 LPA and it has some well-known recruiters, such as Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, NVIDIA, Samsung, Accenture, WIPRO, Infosys, Amazon, Yahoo, and others.
