Which is a better college to pursue CSE, KIIT or LPU?

<p>Hello!<br>I have done my Engineering from LPU and today I am a proud alumnus of LPU. I am not so aware about KIIT, so I won't be able to comment on same. But I will share my experience, I hope it helps. Engineering at LPU is a complete and perfect blend of learning and fun. I remember my days of engineering at LPU, how I use to rush for 9 am class and spend hours on my assignments. Engineering is a blend and balance of book learning and practical learning. LPU creates the content in such a way that learning becomes easier for the students. Faculty members are so experienced that they are able to sense how much we have grabbed in his class. University provides all the resources and techniques to make learning easier and also at the same time prepare the students keep to cope up with the corporate world. LPU provides you with all the facilities required to be a good engineer. I had a splendid experience with the faculty members, placement mentor and officers. Infrastructure: University has well-equipped labs with all the latest technologies for learning and development. Double Storey Central Library, equipped with computer labs and all the required books and curriculum, open for students till mid night 12. Not just this all the facilities in university is worth appreciating. The quality of the facilities provided in our hostel was top notch. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen were great. Medical facilities provided were splendid. Infrastructure is good. All resources are available. College provide Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library. Faculty: Teachers were qualified. They have a good knowledge of the courses they teach. They are very helpful and supportive. Quality of teaching provided is top quality. The teachers are really very supportive. Course curriculum is structured perfectly. It makes the students industry ready. Placements: In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple package as well. The highest package was around 42 Lacs per annum. All the students were trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. Most students who do not have backlogs or reappears gets placed. Students who were not so good in academics, they were enrolled in more PEP classes to help them in placement. I hope this helps. Good Luck !</p>

Though both the colleges mentioned above are good in terms of academics but let me take LPU as an example to explain being an alumni. LPU is good in terms of Placements, Infrastructure, and faculty members. The campus has students all over states and 40+ countries of the world. It has 145+ programs in 55+ disciplines,150+ tie-ups with foreign universities,30k+ students, and 1400+ global and Indian super brands for placement. There are multiple facilities within the campus like university Mall, university Hospital, Food courts or kiosks, Bank ATMs, residential facilities, food facilities, and Transport facilities. The elegance and the brightness of the campus even become more lively during events, concerts, coke studio performances, One India, and One World Fests. There are multiple student organizations that give an excellent opportunity to students to hone and sharpen their skills. Being an alumni of LPU I had lot of friends in CSE stream so I had an idea about the B.Tech CSE. Hi, CSE is not an ordinary field! It's highly dynamic and competitive. The syllabi need to be updated continuously as you never know when the technologies can be rendered obsolete. So it would be best if you compared them on the following parameters. Curriculum development: Is the curriculum at the university upgraded with industry inputs. Teaching pedagogy: Your college must have experiential learning practices. More the practical, better it is. Infrastructure: To support the practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum. Internships: For learning hands in real-time situations. Professional enhancement: The college must focus on personality development, soft skills, interpersonal skills, work ethics, etc. Technologies: The curriculum must include training on cutting-edge technologies like SAP, GitHub, etc. Student diversity: When the class comprises diverse nationalities, students learn working in corporate, teamwork, and cross-cultural sensibilities. Faculty: High caliber and research-oriented. Industry interface: There must be regular industry interactions, seminars, conferences, visits, and mentorship programs. Entrepreneurship projects: The universities need to have design thinking, innovation. Placements: After all, it boils down to placements; the university must attract many companies for recruitment and offer good salaries. KIIT or LPU both are good on their own grounds like curriculum and placements but One must understand two important things here, One is the highest number of placements in one B.tech domain, the other is the highest packages offered on the other B.tech domain. These days almost all B.tech specializations are in demand. Everyone looks for an institution that has an unbeatable placement record, One must choose the branch with more scope and opportunities, but to my advice, one must go for Computer Science and Engineering as it has been one of the most lucrative and competitive course to study since its inception in Indian engineering colleges. I was a student in the B.Tech CSE of 2012 batch, the knowledge that I gained while my course duration has helped me a lot in shaping my career. To begin with, LPU provides a lot of options in engineering only. It is one of the most highlighted courses. It has B.Tech and B.Tech (Hons) courses. B.Tech (Hons. ). With time they had introduced my new programs considering in mind the change occurring in technology. LPU has been ranked in the top 100 private universities by many outer agencies such as Business Today, golden star awards, Digital learning, zee news etc. More than 600 companies visit every year for various industry-academia activities and campus recruitment of students from LPU Following is the data showing the placements of LPU students by top brand companies. 1. Microsoft with a package of 42 Lacs per annum. 2. Amazon with a package of 16 Lacs per annum The main concern of every student and their parents is the job and LPU fulfills that requirement. For CSE if you have perspective to have a placement by the end of your programme than I will highly suggest LPU because one of my cousin has studied CSE from LPU and what he told me regarding this university has actually blown my mind. The ranking of LPU is 47th according to NIRF 2022. The highest package grabbed by student of CSE was of 3cr per annum. LPU is spread over 600acre campus which makes it a mini town in itself. Every year more than 550 companies visit LPU for placements. The companies like Google, Amazon, Tech mahindra, Adobe, Microsoft, EY, Amazon, Apple are few to name with.
