MBA can get you more salary, provided your soft skills are found satisfactory. MA gets you a permanent footing, if you are NET qualified. In all cases, your personality is important.

MBA has wider and better career options in comparison to MA English, if done from a prestigious B-school. MBAs can be employed in all management functions in all type of industries, whereas MA English graduates can be employed in education, journalism, technical writing, government officer, clerical
