Which is a better course among automobile and mechanical engineering?
I am very interested in automobile engineering.

If you do BTech Automobile your career is restricted to Automobile industry only. Where as as Mechanical engineer you can work in all industries including Automobile. By the Automobile Engineering is a specialisation under Mechanical engineering. -

Mostly you will be advised to go for mechanical for the reason that its a generic degree which will allow you to specialize later in any of the areas like automobile, aerospace, metallurgy etc. Whereas automobile is specialization at bachelor's level so you cant diversify except doing master's in it or may be mba.
If you are very sure of automobile, go for it.
