See dear, UPSC demands you to know all the subjects from history to biology (both for preliminary and mains). So I would advice do not choose your graduation stream only based on being UPSC aspirant. Study what you like. At the same time make sure you read news papers daily, specially The Hindu. The last three year paper trend has been based only on current affairs question. If you wish to start preparing from now, read THE HINDU with due diligence and at the same time read all the NCERTs from standard 6 to 10, and geography, history and political Science NCERTs of standard 11 and 12.
Hope this helps.

Many B.Sc. Students do crack UPSC but if you are willing to work for it from now, consider B.A.

In order to crack UPSC B.A. Would be a better option compared to B.Sc. As it will help in preparing things and topics related to UPSC examinations. Yes, a person can go to UPSC coaching institutes made specifically for UPSC examinations so that students could clear UPSC by studying there.
