Sankar ! dont listen to what other say.follow your interest.study about the streams and its scope and select it only if you seem comfortable in this.CSE is doing exceptionally good and as you know we are living in an era of Information Technology where the demand of software engineer is very high.bu

Obviously go with CSE,because it is your own interest, and as far as placement are concerns Then CS having more placement in any clg as compare to mechanical.
