Which is a better course: BCA or B.Sc in CS?

All the courses have great opportunities. The opportunities are not so much within the type of degree, as it is within the individual who has the degree. Opportunities are always there. It is up to you to take advantage of them through creative and critical thinking, assertiveness, perseverance, commitment, positive attitude, and the ability to think through long-term benefits. The most important and critical issue is your ability to create a vision for yourself. In other words, a clearly articulated picture of the future you intend to create for yourself. After you take hold of this vision, you must then develop a road-map that will bring that vision into reality. Then, you can better determine what type of degree is more beneficial and meets your overall career goals and objectives. Thus, the following: Develop the will to change circumstances. On other hand, BCA is application oriented, teach current technologies, platforms. One can join BCA from Science, commerce and arts background. But to pursue B.Sc. IT/CS, you need to have a background of Science. B.Sc. IT/CS is a general course and BCA is a Technical Course, so getting job from BCA is easy than B.Sc. IT/CS. After B.Sc. IT, you can do M.Sc. IT/CS or MCA both. But after BCA you can only do MCA. Best universities for doing BCA and B.Sc. Both of the courses are similar. Check the syllabus for the both. The one which teaches the latest programming tools, the better. It terms of degree BCA seems to be more important and you can follow it with an MCA. As far job seen is concerned. Most of the people in industry don't care. They want fresher's so that they can mound them to the software they are using.
