Which is a better course for the future among B.Com (general) or B.Com (corporate)?

B.Com course is a programme with a course structured designed to make student familiar with the various aspects of the commerce domain. They will learn how business and trading is done. Whereas, those pursuing the course of B.Com (Hons) have a business oriented course structured designed to develop their business skills and provide them in-depth knowledge of the field. For those wanting to pursue a career in Chartered Accountancy, this course would prove to be very advantageous. Admission Criteria / Cut-offs: The admission for both the courses is done on the basis of class 12th board results. The only difference being the cut-offs of B.Com (Hons) is much higher compared to that of B.Com courses. Market Value B.Com Courses don't have a very high market value unless and until a student pursues some business course like MBA or M.Com. Whereas, B.Com (Hons) being a specialisation course it offers better opportunities and good packages. It is highly valued by business industry. Jobs and Salary Students have a lot of job options after pursuing a degree in B.Com but the salary packages arent very lucrative. Freshers can expect salary packages up to Rs.14,000-20,000 per month. Whereas, for those from B.Com (Hons) course they have quite a good salary packages offerings. Since the course is highly valued by the industry officials fresh graduates can expect a salary of around Rs.25,000 to 45,000 per month at entry-level jobs.
