    I found your question very interesting, Go for Microbiology. It will give you more options in future when you start searching for jobs. Biotechnology will narrow down your future path and it will be difficult to get good job after post graduation. While microbiology gives you wider prospects in government jobs specially. If You will go through recent BIS Recruitment advertisement, it has vacancies for microbio field but not for biotech. There are many jobs where biotechnology graduates cant apply but microbiologist can. And where Biotechnology can apply microbiologist also have options in the same.     As per the current scenario, biotechnology is having a lots of opportunities. You should opt for biotechnology. You will be able to get job in private as well as government sector also. Best of luck.
