Both are fields are quite different and pertains different scope. You can put according to your interest. But as in terms of placement, you must choose engineering as various IT companies are there in India.

In my opinion, you can select engineering. Nowadays, placement from colleges are less and this is because of more quantity of students graduated from colleges and quality is less but this engineering can be used as a degree for any stream like Banking, CA, etc. And if you are from good college placement will be more. If you get hotel management in a good college and you have interest in that you can go for that.

Currently, in India, the placement for engineering is not very good except CSE, IT, etc., but if you complete engineering from IITs or NITs and other high ranked college like VIT, Thapar, etc., you can get placed. Hotel management also provides placements, but you need to complete HM from national level colleges or top universities.

    Hi,
These two courses are very different from each other and hence, a comparison isn't possible. Both the courses will offer you great opportunities if you are dedicated and passionate. Identify your area of interest and then take a decision.
