Dear aspirant, M.Sc. In Biotechnology is generally considered as a better course compared to M.Sc. In Microbiology while considering the future prospects. Wide range of career opportunities and higher studies options are available for students completing M.Sc. In Biotechnology than M.Sc. In Microbiology. Hope it helps.

Depends on your interest mainly. Microbiology and biotechnology are quite different in terms of application. But both have very good scope. Biotechnology is relatively new and mainly employs use of newer technology in biology field. It is pretty easy choice if you know what you want.

    Hi,
M.Sc in microbiology is the best course to opt, if the aspirants want a dynamic career in industrial level of biology. But, if the aspirant wants to do research and in broad field of biotech he/she must opt M.Sc in biotechnology. The basic difference between both courses is that M.Sc in microbiology is a specialized course of microbiology.
It restrict you to an aspect of biotech. On the other hand, it gives you the clarity of career. While M.Sc in biotechnology gives you knowledge about wide range of aspect of biotech, but not a clarity of career. Hope, this will throw lights on your dilemma.

    Dear Narendra,
Difference between these two courses are paper thin. My suggestion is that you should to go for biotech as it has more scope than microbiology. Buddy, I'm advising you to go on the internet, do a lot of research, compare the colleges and on the basis of these two courses, check out that which course has more demand in the industry. After doing these research, setup your mind to do your desired course. After all, my suggestion is 'biotechnology'. Kindly up vote the answer if you feel satisfied.
Feel free to ask me anything.
    Good luck buddy.

It depends on personal choice of candidate who wants to do M.Sc. Being biochemist, I feel M.Sc in biochemistry is better. However, future scope in M.Sc. In Chemistry is not less. Biochemistry deals with study of chemical basis of life in living organism including plants and animals. It is very much developed Science and has following branches:-
    Animal biochemistry
    Medical biochemistry
    Clinical biochemistry
    Plant biochemistry
    Environmental biochemistry
    Nutrition biochemistry
Industrial biochemistry, molecular biology and genetics etc. Study of Biochemistry has good scope like in teaching in medical and dental college, clinical research, pharma
    ...more
