At LPU one can learn FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY Acquire photographic skills for creative visualisation and representation. FASHION STYLING This course aims at the innovative application of styling and grooming concepts. The student will work individually or in groups to apply the concepts of grooming and styling to create impeccable looks and lookbooks. INDUSTRIAL TRAINING The course enables a student to work with industry for a full term, where the student shall apply the skills learned during his entire design. INTERNATIONAL IMMERSION Students will have international exposure to institutes, industries, and corporate. It helps students find new grounds for learning overseas. Dear Bhavish Both the Institutes are doing good, My cousin sister is pursuing B. Design (Fashion) from Lovely Professional University itself. She has discussed few points with me about her course:- She told me Study tours are an integral part of curriculum with visitation of architectural and prominent sites provides maximum exposure to learn technicalities of architecture. She said, Fashion designing is a branch having a lot of scope and in LPU, they give a lot of exposure to students, through guest lectures from industry top shots, various in campus and out campus fashion shows, and also they have their own store where the students creations are showcased and sold. The school provides a platform for students to experiment with creative designs, patterns, fabrics and colors. Live with fashion events, visits by renowned national and international fashion designers, innovation and creativity is fostered in the students at every step. They are encouraged to experiment with different materials to create conceptual wear and accessories. Also Students are exposed to fashion shows, craft fairs, industry internships and craft documentation. They get intensive exposure to practical work in Pattern making, Draping, Weaving, Printing, Dyeing, Garment Construction labs. Students are given various Live-projects during the course of the programme to create commercially viable designs. School of Design organized Face Painting and nail painting competition for students to showcase their creative talents. She has attended workshop on "Fashion styling" by Anuj Lalawani (Renowned Designer & Stylist) where students got training in different creative endeavors like body fit, make up, dressing and grooming. She went to educational tours to complement in-class learning.Students visit various monumental buildings and industries across India such as marble industries, tile industries, Thermax industry, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors etc. She talked about placements, So, LPU provides a good platform for placements for all streams and programs. LPU has a separate dept which looks after placement opportunities. Apart from that, each school has its own placement coordinator who is responsible and actively works for not only calling companies to the campus, but also for preparing students for placements by giving them proper training. LPU students have been placed in well reputed national as well as international clothing brand like H & M, acquiring 14 Lacs + per annum pay package.

<p>Symbiosis has been a very prestigious university since years and over these years it has built a brand name internationally. Brand name plays a very important role in your academic and work life. The placement cell of SID is very good and attracts big brands with good package. The curriculum involves lot of exposure giving justification to the course. The faculty concerned are highly experienced which is a very important factor to consider while applying in any university. I would recommend SID to any other designing institute. You can enquire and register for SEED (entrance exam for SID).</p>

Both of these are good curators for this programme, but I feel LPU is top rated in fashion design! <p>&nbsp;No doubt that Symbiosis is best but as you have cleared the first round of UID, so I will suggest you that keep that the option of UID with you, and apply for Symbiosis. If you get selected in Symbiosis then no doubt, you'll be studying in one of the prestigious institutions in India with better facilities, faculty members and placements. So, apply for Symbiosis and keep UID as an option also. All the best for your future.</p>
