Most of the companies visit both but placement number is good at IIM A. Comparing can be done on the basis of networking that is alumni the number of alumni is higher in IIM A. Higher rank higher network and higher placement record is in favour of IIM A. clearly IIM Ahmedabad wins. -

8 years agoIIM, Ahmedabad is the best management college in India. IIM, Indore is incubated and nurtured by IIM-A only. Hence both are good but IIM-A is a tad bit better. -

There is no doubt that IIM-Ahmedabad is a better institute to pursue PG. IIM-A is the #1 MBA/PGDM college in India, while IIM-I will stand somewhere at around 5-10 (different according to different ranking sources).
The best part about IIM-A would be it's alumni network which is much stronger than IIM-I (given its age as well). Apart from that the quality of students that go to IIM-A would be slightly better than IIM-I. The course curriculum might be almost similar as IIM-I follows IIM-A in terms of its course structure and teaching methods.
