Hi Aagam, I can't specifically tell you about LPU or PDPU but I can refer you University of Technology and Management. UTM aims at broadening, strengthening and integrating knowledge and understanding of the oil and gas industry processes through their B.Tech programme. Also they offer a wide variety of opportunities for career development to petroleum engineers.

Dear Aagam, Both LPU and PDPU are good private universities. As far as I know, LPU does not offer petroleum engineering and I have no idea about this programme at PDPU. My friend did B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from LPU and now he is working in IOCL. Provides analytical and application-oriented teaching, innovative and world-class pedagogy, nurtures professionals who, with their commitment and integrity, can make a difference in their respective profession and in turn transform society. Every year almost 90% of students in the department get placed in various pharmaceutical, chemical, and other companies. A group of experienced faculty members is preparing the students for various competitive exams such as UGC/NET, GATE etc. They are organizing special coaching classes free of cost for the students of M.Sc. Programs. Seminars & Mock campus interviews
To enhance employability, various guest lecturers of eminent career consultants, academicians, and well-known career consultants are arranged. Mock campus Interviews are also conducted from time to time by industry & academic experts so as to meet the need of the recruiters. Employability Enhancement programme Classes
Special classes to improve the employment skills are conducted for the students which enhanced the number of placements. Research Activities Department has a big team of doctoral faculty who are working in different thrust areas of research. To promote the research activities department organize various activities like conferences, project Expo in which students exhibit their research projects to the experts from Industry and academia. Recently the department has promoted interdisciplinary research and a good number of research proposals have been submitted to different funding agencies like DST and CSIR. Various activities beyond the syllabus are organized to enrich the experience of the students which include field visits, educational tours, interaction with prominent people related to the subject area, guest lectures, and participation in various conferences and workshops. Aagam, LPU is one of the best universities in India. It is a UGC approved university which has been ranked highly by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its faculty, its placements, its teaching practices etc. The university provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too.
