Which is a better option among mechanical and automobile engineering? I am totally confused.

The best thing is that I suggest you is to take mechanical engineering as it has good placements than that of automobile engineering.

Automobile engineering is a branch of Mechanical engineering, where you'll deal mostly with automobile, whereas in Mechanical engineering, you'll deal with all machines and its design and then many more basics.
