Dear Nausheen, A Degree with very specific direction with give you limited opportunities but a general MBA will give you a spectrum to choose from. Try and go for a general MBA because it will have some decent career prospects to offer and will also open up the world to you!

PGDM is better option then PGDM finance, because finance has limited scope.

See, PGDM finance will take you in a certain direction. If you have previous experience in finance field or you want to explore financial aspects of business go for it. General PGDM will give you a decent amount of knowledge in each field like finance, marketing, HR, operation, etc.

Ali, I think you should go for PGDM in Finance. You can take a decision on the basis of last year's highest salary/finance opportunity/faculty, etc. Just check with your undergraduate details once again before taking the final decision.

IFIM's PGDM in finance is quite popular than PGDM.

I will recommend for getting into Core PGDM instead of PGDM Finance, as it will help you getting broader placements.
