Eligibility criteria: The candidate must have 60% marks in 12th class. (59.9% will not be rounded off as considered to be a 60%). One must have to qualify the entrance exam LPU NEST also. SIMAR, if you are satisfying and eligibility criteria you can take admission and I saw you if you had a good percentage in 10th class are you are having good percentage in 12th class you will get an ample scholarship and the scholarship will continue till your last semester. That means once the scholarship will be conferred to you in first semester it will remain with you till last semester until unless you will not involved in any of the criminal act. LPU is putting more efforts to make Industry ready product. First of all the difference is in the specializations. Firstly, I want to clarify the difference between the B.Tech and BCA. BCA or Bachelor of Computer Application imparts knowledge about computer applications whereas B.Tech CSE trains students for computer engineering. BCA is of 3 year duration and B.Tech is of 4 year duration. BCA makes you adept at the application level of computers whereas B.Tech makes you proficient at the technical level (Software, Hardware, applications etc.) If we talking about the institute, LPU or VIT, both the institutes are doing well at their places. However, if talk about B.Tech CSE, LPU has more scope. The curriculum, pedagogy, infrastructure and the most important placements are the factors to be considered. Many renowned companies like Amazon, Bosch, Google, Microsoft, TCS, Informatics, etc. come for campus recruitment.

First of all, you must have clarity regarding the aspect that both B.Tech and BCA are having different eligibility and fee structure with B.Tech having vast academic scenario and if you ask me about between LPU and VIT, both are premier higher institutes. But as per the feedback from aspirants both B.Tech and LPU is a fruitful combination is terms of better future perspective, as LPU is a university with great infrastructure for overall growth and strong placements.

However, LPU is having clear edge in terms of Infrastructure, Resources, Diversity, Campus Life, etc. * What I heard from trusted resources, LPU is very aggressively working towards Industry Interface in form of Guest Lectures, Curriculum Review, Workshops, Live Projects, etc. In the recent past LPU established varied Industry Supported Labs and Skill Development Modules for which LPU have ties with Cadence, INTEL, Texas Instruments, National Instruments, BOSCH etc. * Now, coming to the point comparison between B.Tech and BCA both B.Tech and BCA are altogether different programs with different outcomes and placement avenues as well. The same is detailed below: I.). B.Tech is a 4 year programme generally applied by students of 10+2 (Science stream) post qualifying National Level / University Level test. This equips you with balanced curriculum and theoretical aspects of the subject matter. Apart of software languages, students also get opportunity to study digital electronics, programming of microprocessor etc. Finally, this equips you with much better placement avenues than that of BCA as students get placement opportunity with various private as well as government organizations in the IT Sector. 2).
