Both the courses are best in their own place. It depends on your interest. More than 50+ colleges offer economics honours but only 10+ colleges under DU offer statistics (Hons). I would suggest you do statistics (Hons) from Sri Venkateshwar College because if you do this course and get good marks and knowledge of this subject then you will get easily placed in an MNC.

B.Sc(H) statistics from Venkateshwara is a better option anyday both from course and college point of view. Stats Department in Venkateshwara is very dedicated and placements are also worth it.

Dear, first thing I believe choosing subject should be based on one's interest & skill over the subject. Both the colleges are good and as subjects both statistics and economics are of great importance. But in terms of placement in Sri Venkateswar college after doing B.Sc(Hons.) in statistics is not reputed. On the contrary after doing B.A(Hons.) in economics from SGGSC of commerce you can enjoy better placement opportunity from the placement cell of the said college. Hope this will address your requirement. Best wishes.
