Which is a better option: B.Sc. or B.Sc. (hons)? I am confused between them. Please help me.

Got 86.8 % in 12th class. Score: Maths- 95; Chemistry- 88; Physics- 68.

    B.Sc. Hons has more advantages than doing a regular B.Sc. Degree because of several reasons:
    *You get a very strong background in your owner subject so that would help to take you a long way
    *Some universities for PG programs ask only for applicants with the owner degree. But there are no universities who asks specifically for B.Sc. Students that is if you are on a student you can apply anywhere without any restrictions. *If you wish to take up a career in Academics then having an Honours degree in the subject for which you wish to apply for a teaching position definitely gives you an edge over others.     Hi,
    Basically, both the courses are more or less same. Eligibility for both the courses are same i.e. 12th class
    Course duration of B.Sc. (H)and B.Sc. General is 3 years. B.Sc. Hons. Student Can pursue higher education (Masters) in Hons after completing graduation but some university do not consider simple B.Sc. Course student for Hons. Master Degree programme. As with job opportunities honour's have more chances as compared to general. In B.Sc. (H) depth knowledge of subject is given while general gives overview of subject.     Both the courses are equally beneficial at their own places. It all depends on what career option you choose and in which field you are interested in. As per the priority, B.Sc. (hons) is a better option as it provides you with specialisation in the course you are interested in.
