Which is a better option: B.Tech in biotechnology or food technology?

I have completed my 10+2 exam & have also participated in WBJEE and JEE Mains in which my rank is 194443.

It mainly depends on your interest, but according to me, if you want to start your business in food industry, then you can opt for the food tech, as this field requires less capital in starting as compared to the biotech. But, if you want to do the job then you should opt for the biotech as there is vast scope in the near future.

The B.Tech. biotechnology Course is the better option. Selection will be on the basis of the engineering entrance examination and marks obtained in Plus Two or equivalent examinations in Science subjects. Students who pass the qualifying examination with at least 50 per cent marks in mathematics and as much in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biotechnology, computer Science or biology taken together are eligible to take the entrance examination.

6 years agoAs per statistics, there are very few chances of getting a decent placement in food technology especially in India.
But if you choose Biotech then its scope is increasing day by day, and if you get a good college, you will get a handy package with ease at the fresher level only.
So, as per my conclusion, l would prefer Biotechnology over Food Technology.
