For Civil Engineering, LPU can be a stronger option if the focus is on practical learning and industry exposure. Its curriculum includes electives, engineering minors, live projects, workshops and industry interaction. The Civil Engineering school also reports internship opportunities and placement support, with students placed in construction and infrastructure companies. Jain University can also be considered, but for an industry-oriented curriculum and broader career exposure, LPU looks like the more suitable choice.

LPU is Best OPTION ! In Civil Engineering LPU emphasizes the evolution of manmade infrastructure as LPU understands how they have evolved to the present scenario. With the advancement of technology in leaps and bounds, the future of civil engineering in the years to come will be crucial, especially with the establishment of smart cities. LPU is nurturing our students to adapt and be equipped with this ever-changing scenario. To cater to these needs the department is structured into five vibrant centers of studies: Structural. Hydraulics. Environment. Geotechnica. Transportation. As per my friends experiences, those are graduated in civil from LPU. LPU is Imparting knowledge through site visits, case studies, real-time designs of structures. It has well-equipped lab facilities like concrete testing, cement testing, soil testing, surveying, highway material testing, and structural mechanics. They are Teaching through PPTs, videos, images, and animations. Manual, as well as computerized structural designing skills with CAD and soft-wares like STAAD Pro, MX Road, are provided to the students. Expertise knowledge of planning in construction is provided to the student both manually as well as software MS Project. For more information you can visit LPU website.

Both LPU and Jain University are worth considering for Civil Engineering, so compare fees, faculty, labs, internships and placement records before deciding. If you prefer a larger campus with good infrastructure and practical exposure, LPU can be a slightly better option. Still, your budget, location and career plans should be the main factors in making the final choice.

Hi, Since the beginning of the creation, when someone placed a roof over his head or laid a tree trunk across a river to cross it, Civil Engineering existed. Both the universities are doing good, but there is one university far ahead of these universities, and that's LPU. LPU has ranked among top-100 in the Overall as well as University category by NIRF-2020 rankings. LPU ranks amongst the Top 200 universities globally as per the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021, which assess universities against the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). LPU has its student organisation known as "bridge, " which conducts various events and competitions to bring forth creativity and to award the best engineer in the making. The consortium of former LPU alumni and an active group of engineering professionals with a sound civil background share their experience on various technologies, industries, methodologies, and processes adapted by many MNC. Moreover, Intellectual Industry officials regularly visit the school to guide faculty members and students themselves. Workshops are being arranged to enhance student knowledge. School of Civil Engineering, Lovely Professional University, has signed MOU with NHAI for giving paid internship opportunities to our existing Civil Engineering students. Learning by Doing, in which fresher students of the school of civil engineering prepared the building models under the guidance of faculty. The placements are excellent. The School of Civil Engineering students is placed in national and international organizations like Al-Rakha, Simplex, Cognizant Soma enterprises, L&T, Gammon, Zamil Infra, Unisys, Tech Mahindra, Xceedance, etc. Thanks.

I can only tell you how is ECE at LPU and when you ask how good it is, it totally depends on you how you pursue it. Firstly ECE is one such stream where you have combination of CSE, EE and EEE courses too. You will be thought basic electrics and electronics in your first year and later in second year core subjects come in. We do have a good lab facility. But I won't tell you that everyone learn from those labs. Because ultimately it students' duty to learn things. Next there clubs in ECE department which help you in doing some kind of projects of implementing your ideas etc. I don't say all the faculty members in the department are best but there are a lot many good faculty who you can take guidance from. There some live projects that university itself working on it. You can join them by consulting your HOS or HOD. If you don't know ECE is one such stream where you need to have clear concepts both practically and theoretically. What I suggest is learn as much as you can from projects you come across. In some courses you would be asked to make mini projects too. Apart from this there would be school competitions in specific courses like in METLAB or Verilog or VHDL etc. Apart from these ECE courses you are thought C, C+ and DBMS etc. Which are basic requirements of today's engineering if you wish to grab a IT job. Taking about placements, there is no hiding that India have less ratio of ECE companies or companies with requirement of ECE graduates. Digital Logic Designing, chip manufacturing, VLSI domain have a good number of jobs if you have expertise in that. Here at LPU you have few companies that come for ECE profile only. They might not give happy package but they can give the job you love. You can sit in placements for IT companies in which you can get good amount of packages. So little hard work off the academics would help you in that. After all it's you who can plan how to you make your career, just plan and work on it.
