Streams in demand are electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, computer science and engineering, instrumentation and so on. Opportunities for information technology stream are found to be affected by recession, but lets be optimistic. Considering the trends is industrial growth the world over, electronics and computer science streams seem to have good prospects. Both the streams are head to head to each other or you can say complimentary to each other. You can't define best out of them. However, talking from the placement point, you will find almost same opportunities from both but you need to select a good university. I would suggest you to go for CSE and also, some colleges having excellent placements -
