Which is a better university Amity or LPU?

Dear Denzel, Both are good and without any comparison being alumni of LPU I would be sharing the details of LPU with you. Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab is a multi-faculty institution offering 145+ programmes in various fields such as engineering. Pharmacy, law, architecture, fine arts, management, etc. In Regular and ODL mode, in a state-of-the-art hi-tech campus, that spreads across 600 acres of land. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA. Well if you ask me I would say there is no point comparing because both LPU and Amity University has their own story of glory and limitations. On one side where Amity University is famous for many branches. LPU is a younger a shining star in the ranking of Best Private University of India. Lovely Professional University's commitment to teaching excellence and providing the highest quality education to its students has once again brought laurels. The Ministry of Human Resource Department, Government of India has released NIRF Ranking 2020 and LPU appears in Top 100 in its most crucial Overall category, which includes IITs and Central Universities. LPU is also ranked 78th in the list of all the government and private universities of the country. University Engineering School is in the Top 100, Management School in the Top 50, and Pharmacy School in the Top 30 institutions of India. A new name as compared to others in the competition but a promising and a progressive university. Then even there are few challenges where LPU definitely stands out. As per the analysis of the reviews received these days Amity's are strictly impacted with 2 major lags (A) Lack of Industrial Exposure :There exists a gap between the industry and academia. This also gets reflected in the classrooms. (B) Student-Faculty Issues :There is a complete estrangement between the student and the faculty community. The Generation gap between them further adds to the woes. Where in LPU there is immense amount of exposure as well as academic-industry interactions happening throughout the year. This polishes the potential ability of the students to develop according to the industry needs. The university also maintain a serene teacher student ration along with it the university pertains a thorough mentorship model that builds a stronger and effective working model. Such baby steps definitely give it to a bigger scope and arena. LPU has set new bench marks in Placements which is one of the most promising part of a good university today. LPU strongly believes in the fact that learning doesn't happen only by books equal amount of external exposure is much needed for the holistic development of one self. In order to nurture such approach the university conducts multiple live project, floor job trainings and runs specialised curriculum that builds insightful understanding of concept and its applicability. Some of the industrial Tie-ups include Google, SAP, Cisco, Bosch, Dell EMC, VMware, PEGA Systems.

Hi, You are comparing Amity and LPU. You should not compare both the institutes. What is important for you is to know that both the institutes are the premiers across the country. Both are equally good. Still, I would prefer LPU. Why? Because Amity is carrying a long time dignity with it. Thus there is quite stagnant to work upon the updated curriculum. Whereas LPU is very young and Energetic too. They are flaunt their success and achievements very loud and clear to society. LPU has engraved a great name for itself since its inception on the back of a solid track record. Live Projects &amp; Consultancy: For practical real-life exposure. Technology training: Like SAP, to make you more relevant in the industry. Entrepreneurship Projects: for overall development and cross-functional skills. Industry delivered certifications (Voluntary): For extra weight in resume. Cutting Edge Courses in workshop mode: So that you get exposure which no one gets. Innovative Pedagogy: Entirely a different system. Co-Curricular &amp; Extra Curricular Activities: A number of big events all around the year happen with thousands of invitees. Community Development Projects: Huge number of community projects are undertaken by universities as well as students. External Competitions: These go on all around the year. B.Tech CSE is a highly in demand programme these days! Check that your shortlisted colleges have the following: Curriculum : If at all the curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback of industry. Since it is a highly dynamic field, you cant afford a programme which is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi. Pedagogy : The teaching pedagogy formal the backbone of how the programme is delivered, more the practical, better it is. Maximum exposure to practicals and internships more chances of becoming a well rounded professional. Industry interface: Ultimately its the industry which is going to immerse the students in the placements, the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits and internships are must have in any tech programme. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days, the personality, ethics, virtuous, speech, body language, interpersonal skills etc. Are given high importance in the organisations. The programme must include the training or modules on all these. Diversity: As he world shrinks into a aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college is helpful in enabling the students develop right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship : Even though most of the students go for jobs, the exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, what are the expectations etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking and business incubator.
