Which is a better university for CSE: SRM, Chennai or Lovely Professional University?

Hello! I have done my Engineering from Lovely Professional University, I can not comment anything about SRM Chennai, I can share my experience about LPU. Engineering at LPU is a complete and perfect blend of learning and fun. I remember my days of engineering at LPU, how I use to rush for 9 am class and spend hours on my assignments. Engineering is a blend and balance of book learning and practical learning. LPU creates the content in such a way that learning becomes easier for the students. Faculty members are so experienced that they are able to sense how much we have grabbed in his class. University provides all the resources and techniques to make learning easier and also at the same time prepare the students keep to cope up with the corporate world LPU provides you with all the facilities required to be a good engineer. I had a splendid experience with the faculty members, placement mentor and officers. I will share few of the major points to help you to get a clear picture of LPU. Infrastructure: University has well-equipped labs with all the latest technologies for learning and development. Double Storey Central Library, equipped with computer labs and all the required books and curiculam, open for students till mid night 12. Not just this all the facilities in university is worth appreciating. The quality of the facilities provided in our hostel was top notch. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen were great. Medical facilities provided were splendid. Infrastructure is good. All resources are available. College provide Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library. Faculty: Teachers were qualified. They have a good knowledge of the courses they teach. They are very helpful and supportive. Quality of teaching provided is top quality. The teachers are really very supportive. Course curriculum is structured perfectly. It makes the students industry ready. Placements: In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple package as well. The highest package was around 42 Lacs per annum. All the students were trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. I hope I am able to help you. Thanks!

I have observed very less about SRM Chennai but still I know enough of SRM Chennai. My conclusion is that LPU is step ahead. Both are private institutions and both are putting a lot of efforts but LPU is really a step ahead, with: 1. Curriculum, 2. Highly Qualified faculty members, 3. Industrial tie-ups, 4. Technology and Exposure, 5. Diversity, 6. Support to Entrepreneurs, 7. Good Placements. Compare yourself and take wise decision.

LPU is the best private university. 100% Placement offer (Dream company/good package/ 23 offer from different company) Good coding skills in basic programming like c, c+, Java and advanced programming like android studio, phython in machine learning, web development programming. Etc. Learning the latest technology and concepts like Big data, Hadoop, cloud computing, cyber security, android apps, drone, roboticsetc Entrepreneur (do not interest in placement) Participation/winning certificate of sports/extra- curricular (one world, one India, youth vibe)/co-curricular/ coding events like hackathon, code chef. (depends upon your interest, involvement and participation level) SAP/Oracle certification Depends upon your interest you can develop project and participate in mega event like project expo) Research oriented skills (paper writing, new ideas sharing, getting patent (project ), participating in seminar/conference). Show case your talent (music, dance, painting,. Etc. ). (More than 1000 events). Good internship and trained from different internal faculty members and guest lecture from outside.

Although both the above-mentioned universities are equally good there are just nuances among all these Universities. Majorly the regions are different and both are putting great efforts in there academics and enhancing other salient features. Still there are certain parameters such as placements, infrastructure, faculty level, environment, growth etc. To be considered while selection of institute for pursuing education. It a big question in the mind of a student as well as parents that what will the offers and placement scenario of educational institute when the student will be about to complete the course. LPU is an international university with more than 700+ tie ups with industries and companies to support academic and placement of his students. My cousin sister done her B.Tech in CSE from here and she got placed in Cognizant with top package. Other friends of her also placed in other companies such as Capgemini, Tech. Mahindra, BOSCH, Amazon, SAP, Texas Instruments, Cadence, Sandisk, Moserbear. Their junior Tanya Arora who is recently in news, got placed in Microsoft with 42 LPA. So, we have no doubt that LPU is best and a bench marks for placement and internships of students not only in CSE but also in other courses. One more point I want to highlight here is that the scholarships offered by LPU helps a student without any monetary burden. LPU is the best university for any branch. It has well developed labs and classrooms, has good academic reputation and faculty is very good. So, I suggest you to prefer LPU among the other colleges.

Dear Vidhaan Bhati, LPU would be a better option to opt CSE because LPU provides a better quality of education as well as placements to the students. Whereas, I would like to let you know about some of the placements in LPU from CSE stream. If you join the LPU for CSE branch, as there will be a number of companies that will visit LPU, especially for CSE when compared to other branches. The major reasons for visiting the number of companies is you will be having a number of Skills that you have learned from the first year onwards like HTML, JAVASCRIPT, Operating Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, C, C+, DBMS, Java, SAP. LPU provides a lot of opportunities to each and every one of the eligible students to secure good placement. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes from the first year onward, it may be Soft-Skills, G. D, presentations, Extempores, Technical Interviews, and Personal Interviews. To make the students crack their dream companies Placements and Internships Opportunities offered by the University placement department (Division of Career Services, DCS) ensure that students get hands-on experience in working in the industry. Hello Vidhaaan Good universities in terms of placement. If you are comfortable with fee, you can go for LPU. Otherwise, SRM-Chennai.

If you have a good budget, and you belong to a good earning family then you can go for SRM as it is having good campus life and exposure, but if you belong to a middle-class family then go for LPU. You can get a scholarship too.
