Hi Dear, I have observed very less about SRM Chennai but still I know enough of SRM Chennai. My opinion is that LPU is step ahead. Both are private institutions and both are putting a lot of efforts but LPU is really a step ahead, with: 1. Curriculum, 2. Highly Qualified faculty members, 3. Industrial tie-ups, 4. Dear Nomanjee, Both SRM Chennai and Lovely Professional University are the best private universities but I can only share the B.Tech in CSE details of LPU as my cousin is pursuing the same from LPU. There are a few points I would like to share about why CSE is good for LPU. Good Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft. LPU has a very good placement and achieved awards for employability also. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the programme. Scholarships: LPU provides scholarships to bright students every year worth crore rupees to all the students based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and other factors. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. So it would be best if you compared them on the following parameters. Curriculum development: Is the curriculum at the university upgraded with industry inputs. Teaching pedagogy: Your college must have experiential learning practices. More the practical, better it is. Infrastructure: To support the practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum. Internships: For learning hands in real-time situations. Professional enhancement: The college must focus on personality development, soft skills, interpersonal skills, work ethics, etc. Technologies: The curriculum must include training on cutting-edge technologies like SAP, GitHub, etc. Student diversity: When the class comprises diverse nationalities, students learn working in corporate, teamwork, and cross-cultural sensibilities. Faculty: High caliber and research-oriented. Industry interface: There must be regular industry interactions, seminars, conferences, visits, and mentorship programs. Entrepreneurship projects: The universities need to have design thinking, innovation.
