I will not suggest SRM due to the heavy fee burden on your parents. It is almost 30 Lacs with a hostel fee. You will not be able to pay with the placement that is given. Please see some of the Anna University colleges. They may not be great, but they cost you 1/10 of what SRM will give. The faculty

VIT is good among them in terms of placement and academic exposure. Else you can go for SRM. But your priority should be VIT. Both are having good placement records.

ECE will be better in VIT, as this college has better faculty members and the labs for this branch. The placements in VIT are better for this branch as compared to SRM.

VIT is one of the best institute for the B.Tech, you can go for it but you can also go for SRM it is also top 20 ranked institute in India, hence I would suggest to gor for the VIT among the both since the environment of VIT is really applicable. Its difficult to compare, both are private deemed universities, but VIT has years of service and reputation behind while SRM is a relatively new generation private deemed university.
