I will not suggest SRM due to the heavy fee burden on your parents. It is almost 30 Lacs with a hostel fee. You will not be able to pay with the placement that is given. Please see some of the Anna University colleges. They may not be great, but they cost you 1/10 of what SRM will give. The faculty are the same in all colleges as they are from Anna University or affiliated colleges.

ECE will be better in VIT, as this college has better faculty members and the labs for this branch. The placements in VIT are better for this branch as compared to SRM.

Dear friend, As per my personal opinion & experience, in case of SRM and VIT University, you must go for SRM for B.Tech in ECE because it has better placement record, has good infrastructure and has a more eco friendly environment as compared to VIT University. So, you must go for SRM University. Thank you very much.

LPU is a better option, in terms of placements, best curriculum, infrastructure, well-experienced faculty and provides hands-on experience on the latest technologies. LPU is providing its students the exposure by providing opportunities for guest lectures, workshops, industrial visits, internships, etc. As per my experience, LPU is the best engineering college in India. VIT is good among them in terms of placement and academic exposure. Else you can go for SRM. But your priority should be VIT. Both are having good placement records.

Its difficult to compare, both are private deemed universities, but VIT has years of service and reputation behind while SRM is a relatively new generation private deemed university.

It is unlikely to get a CSE seat in VIT Vellore with a rank of 23,517, as the cut-off for CSE is typically around 8,000.

Explanation:

VIT Vellore's CSE programme is highly competitive, and the cutoff ranks for CSE in past years have been within the range of 7,500-8,000. Other specializations like IT and ECE close around 9,000 and 15,000-16,000 respectively. Since your rank is significantly higher than the expected cutoff, it's highly improbable you'll be offered a CSE seat in the main Vellore campus.
