Which is a good college for B.Tech in mechanical branch MIT, Pune or LPU?

My cousin brother has done graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Lovely Professional University. Few points told by my brother who did his studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: The school has well qualified and experienced faculty members with specialisation in various fields like, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Projects and Applications The Department takes immense pride in offering innovative Live Projects that will help in providing technical exposure to the students while developing state of the art applications. Mechanical engineering deals with the working and functioning of electrical equipment's, heavy machines, different materiel to make human life easy and motor vehicles which has a large scope in the future markets. A large scale field work is required and mechanical students keep developing themselves working in their respective workshops and their live projects. When it comes to placements, There are more than 100 companies that are coming in LPU for recruitment of mechanical students. The packages varies from 3 Lacs to 12 Lacs per annum. Hi, The choice of the institute depends on various factors such as placements, academics, curriculum, extra-curricular activities, exposure to the students, etc. Keeping in mind all these factors, only one institute that comes to my mind is Lovely Professional University. The way the university is educating the students is applaudable. Students of LPU organized the International Go-kart Championship which is a student-initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. Team of young & motivated engineers works to build Formula Car and concept Cars and also represent Lovely Professional University at National and International Design competitions such as BAJA SAEINDIA, BAJA SAE UTEP (TEXAS), Formula USA, FORMULA SAEIndia and Showcase their creativity and technical skills. Coming to the placements, the preparation of placements starts in the first year. I am an alumnus of LPU. I was also in this dilemma a long ago while choosing a university, It turned out that it is better to pursue mechanical engineering at LPU. I'd like to mention that LPU is a great place to pursue any kind of engineering and mechanical engineering is one of the core engineering disciplines after all. Lovely Professional University is the largest single-campus university in India and is one of the top-rated universities of Punjab. LPU is a private university in Phagwara, Punjab that is affiliated with NCTE, COA, PCI, IAP, BCI, UGC. Curriculum: An Engineering programme that seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc. Specialisation. When I was in my college days, I saw a team of engineering students of LPU bagged Level One Position at Delta Automation Contest-2017 in China in a tough competition with 75 teams from across Asia. In another FEAT ME students of LPU designed a futuristic Formula One Racing Car and clinched 2nd position at SAEINDIA 2017, Noida. Placements: I have seen students getting top packages from leading tech companies. Students of Mechanical engineering are placed in Honda, VOLTAS, XL Dynamics, Anglo-Eastern Ship Management, Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Constructions, and many more. Innovation: Innovation and entrepreneurship is no less at LPU. LPU Student Satya Rout's "One Design" is Making the Brand Biz Grand in a Tight Economy LPU B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Student Mr. Satya Rout has got featured in 'The New Indian Express' for his start-up 'One Design'. So, these are some of the things that LPU provides to a student to finally make him an engineer. I am doing computer Science engineering at LPU and I am loving the efforts that LPU puts to educate us and make us industry-ready.

I guess both the university are great and well known. But as I am a student of LPU I know much better about it that LPU is best for this course. They have everything we students could ask for. The school of mechanical engineering has well-qualified labs and experienced faculty members, mostly all of them from IIITs, NITs, IIITs, and that too they usually PHDs. They have also specialisation in various fields like, Aerospace Engineering, Automobile Engineering, CAD/CAM, Engineering Design, Manufacturing Technology, Metallurgy, Robotics, Thermal Engineering, etc. Their Department is known for offering innovative Live Projects that helps students in providing technical exposure while developing state of the art applications. Go for LPU, LPU is one of the best universities with innovative pedagogical techniques, conducive learning environment and good placements. University makes every effort to make its students market ready by giving them special inputs, train them in various aspects of placements. The university is a favourite recruitment hub of many reputed companies because of the good quality students being offered to them. The students are offered high packages. Some even start working while studying I. e. in their last semester itself they are on-job training (OJT) where they are also paid a stipend.

MIT-Pune is though relatively better than LPU in terms of overall academics and student focus. It is good to invest money than in MIT Pune. It has an advantage of being an autonomous institute and ranked all India 94 by NIRF, where LPU stands nowhere.

I will suggest you to go for LPU because all the faculty members are highly educated and you will get all the facilities related to your course. Many big companies come to hire the students. You will get many opportunities to explore yourself. LPU is one of the top universities in India.
