Both are good institution, but in my opinion, NIT is better than BITS-Pilani, because NIT is a government institution, and they provide good quality of faculty members with good course curriculum.

BITS Pilani falls in category of top 5 IITs. It's ranking is above all NITs. This ranking is for Pilani campus not for offshore campuses at Goa & Hyderabad.
