Which is best for a B.Sc. In agriculture, LPU or PDM University?

LPU would be a better option between the two. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. The academics and curriculum here is very good. Proper emphasis is given on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. Students are exposed to Commercial farms to get know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. Hi there, Well, being an LPU-alumni as well as an existing scholar at LPU, I would like to answer your query. I don't know about PDM but on my own experience basis, I suggest you to go for LPU. LPU is the best option for Agriculture. LPU becomes India's first Private University to get ICAR Accreditation. ICAR co-ordinates agricultural education and research in the country under the aegis of the Department of Agricultural Research & Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (Government of India), where Union Minister of Agriculture is its President. LPU offers four years B.Sc (Hons). Agriculture instead of B.Tech Agriculture. LPU provides special inputs to the students in the form of placement classes to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services. Students have got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. As an LPU alumnus and current student, I'd be happy to respond to your question. I'm not familiar with PDM, but based on my own experience, I recommend LPU. Students can also participate in on-the-job training (OJT), which pays a stipend. In my opinion definitely LPU. As LPU is the private university to get ICAR accreditation. And all their agriculture programs are accredited by ICAR which ensures quality education. And LPU School of Agriculture is among Punjab and India's Best Agriculture colleges. Every year 500+ companies for placements in LPU and Last year, LPU agriculture students bagged a Package of 1 CRORE. LPU students have got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of the School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, and many more. Students of Agriculture and Forestry had a research stay and an Edu-excursion Camp at TERI University New Delhi. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Almost 50% of the aspirants get the opportunity to do internships in companies like EduCase, Intello Labs Pvt Ltd, and Syngenta. The top roles offered in the course are sales trainee officer and field officer. Infrastructure: Our university has one of the best infrastructures. There are smart classrooms, labs with advanced equipment, Wi-Fi, a library, agriculture fields, and greenhouses.
