Honestly, for BTech CSE I'd pick Thapar. It has a stronger engineering reputation, better placement opportunities and a stronger peer group overall. Chitkara is decent too, but if you have both options, I'd go with Thapar.

If you have CSE at both, I'd pick Thapar. Chitkara is a decent option, especially if fees are a big factor, but Thapar has the stronger engineering reputation and overall peer group. If the fee difference isn't a major issue for you, I'd go with Thapar.

Yes, Thapar has international recognition. It is ranked in global rankings like QS and THE, and its eligible engineering programmes also have ABET accreditation. So for higher studies or opportunities abroad, Thapar is a recognised name.
