CSE is not an ordinary programme. It is highly resource intensive, dynamic and difficult programme to run for the curators. You never know when some technology gets obsolete! The curators need to be equally dynamic as the industry is. It needs unflinching focus to run the programme according to industry. Very few universities have been able to recognize this dynamism and perfect the curriculum and its delivery for producing the well rounded professionals. LPU has excelled in almost every parameter possible in field of education, even more so in case of CSE as it is the flagship programme of university. Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology UG Programs at LPU have been designed primarily to suit the needs of the students who aspire to be the future engineers, managers or entrepreneurs with a strong grounding in accounting and finance. Developing analytical, communication and decision making skills of students is an important focus area throughout the duration of the programme. The students are encouraged to undertake assignments/project work from the industry and work towards finding possible solutions to integrate their theoretical knowledge with industrial practices. Keeping in view the employment potential, in-depth knowledge is provided to the students through department electives in computer networks, artificial intelligence, databases and information systems as well as computer programming and algorithms. Some of the unique features are: 12 centers of excellence set up by industry majors themselves. Even the IITs and NITs are appreciating campus wide facilities in terms of IT. Online access to research journals, leading company annual reports and business dissertations with design analysis for ERP. Design and Development of software and databases for data analysis. Option to opt for industry relevant and industry delivered skills to enhance placement prospects. Student driven activities for leadership and technological development Software exhibitions on applications and research projects. Both Thapar University and LPU are worth considering for B.Tech CSE. Thapar may suit students looking for a more selective engineering campus, while LPU offers a wide range of specialisations, industry-oriented learning and opportunities to work on practical projects. For scholarships, LPU has options based on LPUNEST scores and Class 12 marks, with the benefit depending on the applicable criteria. Before deciding, compare the final four-year fees after scholarship, placement records for CSE, internship opportunities and the coding environment. The better choice is the one that matches your budget and career goals, not just the scholarship percentage.

ParmSidhu · Answer

B.Tech CSE at Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers students opportunities to avail scholarships based on different eligibility categories. Merit-based scholarships are among the major options, and students may be considered on the basis of their academic performance in qualifying examinations and, where applicable, performance in LPUNEST. The scholarship amount or percentage depends on the applicable scholarship category, academic score, admission criteria, and the prevailing scholarship policy for the particular admission session. Students interested in B.Tech CSE can also explore scholarships available under other categories, which may include sports, cultural achievements, special achievements, defence personnel categories, and other applicable provisions. LPU may also provide scholarship benefits based on performance in recognised entrance or competitive examinations, subject to the conditions specified for the relevant category. For a student choosing B.Tech CSE, scholarships can help reduce the overall cost of higher education while allowing the student to pursue a technology-focused programme. However, scholarship eligibility is not necessarily the same for every student, and some benefits may have specific renewal conditions. Students may need to maintain a prescribed academic performance during their studies to continue receiving the scholarship in subsequent semesters or years. The exact scholarship percentage, qualifying marks, eligible examinations, application procedure, and renewal requirements can change according to LPU's admission policy. Therefore, students should check the latest scholarship guidelines applicable to the current B.Tech CSE admission cycle before taking admission. Overall, LPU provides multiple scholarship opportunities for B.Tech CSE aspirants, with academic merit and other achievements playing an important role. Students with strong Class 12 results or notable performance in entrance examinations, sports, cultural activities, or other recognised areas can explore the scholarship category that best matches their profile.
