Hello, LPU is the best option for Engineering, all branches. LPU is a brand in itself. It has been ranked as one of the best universities by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its placements, its pedagogy, its faculty, to mention a few. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Google, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Amazon, Adobe, etc. Come for recruitment purpose. Most of the students are placed in good companies with high package. Hi, Both NIT Sikkim and LPU have their own strengths and weaknesses and are equally good. However, being into consulting business since last couple of years we have observed, that private bodies are putting in additional efforts to strengthen ties with corporate, to provide industry collaborated certificates, to ensure that the curricula is updated and in line with the industry requirements, better placements of the students etc. * Secondly, For NIT one has to crank JEE Mains and on the other end for LPU one can seek admission qualifying LPU NEST or JEEMAINS or other national level entrance test as well and this puts you at ease while securing a seat in an engineering programme with the University of prominent repute. * NIT's are carrying legacy with regards to Curriculum, Reputation and Placement and other the other side LPU have earned the same by recruiting talented veteran faculty members from the prominent NITs, IITs, Iims of the country. * LPU offers a greater number of industry specific specializations along with the function specific ones, However, on the other end NIT's have limited options to choose from. * NITs take more time to implement the change in the curricula and on the other end LPU develops and upgrades its curriculum continuously with feedback and consultations with Industry tycoons. * Today, LPU is catering to 30000+ students from all parts of the country and 70 other countries as well that makes LPU a global campus and provides students an opportunity to interact and learn. For NIT one has to crank JEE Mains where as for LPU one can crack LPU NEST. I am not saying that LPU NEST is easier than JEE Mains or difficult. Here I just want to tell you about the value addition, Where it might be possible that LPU is putting more efforts to make Industry ready product. First of all the difference is in the specializations. LPU offers large number of industry specific specializations, highly coveted Computer Science Engineering along with the function specific ones, while you can easily count the total number of classes in NIT's. Course curriculum : While NIT's are carrying legacy only in regards Curriculum, LPU has developed and upgraded its curriculum continuously with feedback and consultations with Industry tycoons. Three striking features of LPU are Technology trainings like SAP, Github, advance excel etc. , which give a clear edge to students in employability. LPU is a well renowned private university in India with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members. There are more than 200 programmes to choose and with a great infrastructure LPU provides all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU is best at all in terms of education, infrastructure, faculty members, placement, extra co curricular activities etc. I have done my graduation and post graduation from the LPU and LPU is one of the great place for education where the management actually believe on actions rather than words. Whatever they promised they delivered to us along with in campus placement at good package and best time of life. More than 550 companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU and this year for batch graduating in 2020, already more than 500 placement/internship drives have been conducted till January 2020 with leading industry giants (more than 90% being MNCs) and generating more than 3000 offers just in the first half of the academic session.
