Which is best in all aspects LPU, Jalandhar or Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata for M.Sc. in hotel management?

Dear Shivam, Both LPU Jalandhar and Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management Kolkata are very good institutes. My cousin did M.Sc. In Hotel Management from LPU and now doing his job as an assistant manager in a reputed hotel in Delhi. Let me share few points about the Hotel Management programme at LPU : Curriculum: High academic standards are maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts. Student exposure: Being a part of a resource-rich University, the students have an advantage of interdisciplinary exposure which is not possible in standalone colleges. University-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchen and bakery are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gazettes. We have few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. Placement: 100% placements record with minimum 10% students selected as Management Trainee (Junior Executive level) till date and the placement is with brands like Cox & Kings, Carnival Cruise, JET Airways, Oberoi, Taj, Leela, etc. Package: Six students were offered the package of Rs 8 Lacs by Carnival Cruise in last years. Students are surrounded by peers from 70+ countries giving them an international edge. The school provides students with simulation labs, aviation labs, restaurant training labs, basic and advanced training kitchen labs that expose the students to real-life situations and environments. So I must say that LPU would be the best option for pursuing the course for HOTEL MANAGEMENT. As university possess a hotel which not only give practical exposure but also the real time Many reputed companies in this field had visited for the placements drive - Viral International, Jaypee Residency Hotel, Qatar Airways, Air Vistara, P and O Cruise (USA), Al Thiqarestaurant Co (Kuwait), Hyatt (USA), Wolf Great Resort (USA), Jubilant (Dominos), Sapphire Foods (KFC), The Grand (New Delhi), The Leela, Zuri Whitefield, Courtyard Marriot, ITC Hotels, Radisson Blu, The Oberoi Cecil etc. It is the best private university with world-class infrastructure, modern facilities, and highly qualified faculty in India.
