Which is best: LPU or BITS, Mesra?

BITS is a good university. LPUs investment in intellectual capital is way beyond comprehension, extremely qualified and talented! With a research powerhouse of more than 100 post-doctorates and 700 PHDs, LPUs strength is its academic power. Coming to infrastructure, the huge 600 acre plus campus which is equipped with every machinery, equipment, and software required in all the programs is a wonder in itself, just, for example, more than 10 companies have established centers for excellence within the campus with their investment to keep an eye on the abundant talent! The central library is one massive 6 story building with lacs of books and a network to produce any title anytime! And this is in addition to many other libraries in all the departments. Industry plays an important part in shaping the careers of students at LPU, from consulting for curriculum to guest lectures, industry interface, internships, consulting projects, establishing centers, providing machinery and equipment, software, certifications and finally immersing the students from campus. Attracting 30000 plus students, 200 international universities, and more than 600 companies from all over the world to its state of the art multicultural campus year after year after year speaks volumes about LPU.

Always choose the institute that along with good education provides you a platform to improve your ideas and provide an stage to bring your innovative ideas into practice. As far as these colleges are concern, both are good but I would prefer Lovely Professional University. Though all the institutes mentioned above are good in terms of academics but let me take LPU as an example to explain. Hi, How do you compare universities? Here are some criteria: Curriculum: The curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback from the industry. Since IT/CSE is a highly dynamic field, you can't afford a programme that is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now high tech-driven; the tech programme must have the exposure and training. The world-leading technologies like SAP, GitHub, Advance excel, etc. Are a must for any professional to succeed in a career. Industry interface: Ultimately, it's the industry that will immerse the students in the placements; the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits, and internships are a must-have in any tech programme. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days; personality, ethics, virtuousness, speech, body language, interpersonal skills, etc. , are given high importance. The programme must include the training or modules on all these. Diversity: As the world shrink into an aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross-cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college helps enable the students to develop the right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship: Even though most of the students go for jobs, exposure to entrepreneurship is required. University shouldn't just be judged on any single element of the student experience. I can't say anything about the other universities because I don't know about these universities but my experience with LPU is great. LPU has provided me with a better experience of university life. The staff and students are all friendly, the courses are brilliant, the social life is great and the campus provides a safe and friendly environment to live in! I enjoy going to campus as I feel that the lecturers and lectures allow me to produce a higher quality of work as there is a lot of information in the lectures to allow me to do. Everyone is also friendly and I know if I need help with anything I'd be able to find someone easily My overall experience of LPU has been brilliant so far. I came to the university through clearing my entrance exam and was really nervous about living away from home but I immediately made friends and felt really welcomed. I would definitely now call LPU my home! Job prospects: We have careers advice lectures every term. Lots of career organizations are promoted by the department and we are encouraged to sign up to these for extra advice and information. Course and Lecturers: The best thing about the teaching of this course is that it is research-led. The lecturers have done and doing research, so this really enhances their teaching. I like the fact that some of the lecturers encourage us to engage during lectures and discuss issues that arise in the subject they're teaching. It would be great if more lecturers did this. University Facilities: The facilities are usually really good - and there is a good quantity also. I tend to use the library computers and printers - of which there is a good supply. All the software and material that I need to use for my degree is already downloaded onto the computers so I do not need to spend time or money doing that. There are several copies of all the essential reading for my course. City Life: LPU's city life highlights its diversity and culture. Punjab is already famous for its values, food, care, and affection. LPU feels more like a large township and the people are all really friendly. I love to explore surrounding areas in my spare time. University shouldn't just be judged on any single element of the student experience. I can't say anything about the other universities because I don't know about these universities but my experience with LPU is great. LPU has provided me with a better experience.

Dear Bhavya, There are plenty of reasons to opt for LPU because of its diversity, excellent placements records, Highly Experienced Faculty, excellent placements records in every streams. LPU Campus is quite huge in all aspects, it has an excellent infrastructure, teaching facilities, experienced faculty members and a target to produce industry-ready knowledgeable students. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placements and companies in large number visit the campus for on-campus recruitment. Apart from this, LPU offer the highest scholarships benefits to students. Scholarship will be considered on the academic performances of the previous qualification percentage basis or else on the basis of performance in NEST.

This depends on the type of course, you want to opt for. Not every college is best for all the courses. Like, if you want to pursue Computer Science and Engineering, then LPU is a good option. But, for some other courses, BITS. Mesra may be good.
