Which is best Mechanical engineering or Mechatronics engineering with specialisation in robotics?

I am very interested to become Robotics scientist I choose to take Mechatronics with specialisation in robotics as UG course and go for robotics and automation course in PG please tell me whether my choice is good if not please suggest a correct path.
