Mechanical Engineering is good. Automobile Engineering is mostly provided by private Colleges And most of the Private Colleges have zero placement in Automobile Engineering as Companies Doesn't at all prefers students of private college Which have done their B.Tech in Automobile Engineering. And Mechanical Engineering gives very Wide and huge job aspects While Automobile engineering gives you very less Job Aspects you can Restrict to only one Sector that is Automobile .

Hello Surjeet. First u should keep in mind that origin of automobile engg. is from mechanical engg. If u r good in mechanical, u are automatically good in automobile.just c ur interest and proceed ur way. All the best!!
