Which is best SRM or GITAM with regards to placements of CSE ?

SRM is quite good with respect to placements for CSE department where you just need to maintain a decent CGPA.

Yes, you can join SRM Ramapuram campus if getting placed is your priority because students from all the campuses come to the main campus for placements. So the placements opportunities won't really affect you if you're in Ramapuram campus but you will miss out a lot on your college life.

SRM is better but the fee of SRM is too high.
