Which is better, a B.Sc. Or a B.A. For a career in teaching?

Both a Bachelor of arts (B.A. ) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) are good options if you want to become a teacher. 1. With a B.Sc degree, you can apply for teaching positions in Science, math, physics, and chemistry if your B.Sc is in PCM subjects. 2. If you have done your B.Sc in biology, you can apply for Science and biology subjects at the school level. 3. With a B.A. degree, you can teach social Science subjects, and if your B.A. is in a language subject, you can teach that language at the college level. 4. In order to become a school teacher, you must also have a B.Ed. degree. 5. Rather than your subject, your salary will be determined by the school where you are posted. Hence, you can select either degree based on your interest. If you want to teach at the college level, you must first obtain a master's degree in a related field and then pass the UGC NET.

Of course B.Sc. Is better if you are seeking a career in field of teaching because Science and Maths teachers are most demanding and if you don't have sound idea about subject matter you can't teach students about the latest and updated ways of learning. Also B.Sc. equips you with experiment techniques which are also useful for efficient teaching if in future you want to switch to the subjects of arts.
