    An MBA is better than a PGDM as it holds more value in the job market. This is due to the fact that a PGDM is a postgraduate Diploma in management, whereas an MBA is a professional postgraduate degree.
    1. The course curriculum is usually similar, but the PGDM curriculum is usually upgraded to meet market changes. This is possible with the PGDM, as this course is mostly offered by autonomous institutions.
    2. The MBA covers theoretical as well as practical aspects, whereas the PGDM is mostly focused on technical aspects.
    3. With an MBA, you can make a career in teaching as well, which is not possible with a PGDM.

    An MBA is a full time master's programme, whereas a PGDM is a short duration course. On priority, MBA holds a higher value to the PGDM and accordingly, gives a higher package, a better place and position in the working institute. PGDM has its own advantage, in terms of short duration, lower money and yet a post better than just graduation and almost nearing the rank of a Masters graduation, a PGDM is a profitable one too.
